  1. Go Little Tuli

    April 9, 2016 by myeye

Tuli and our friend Kim Raleigh went to Hobbs the first weekend of February.  On Sunday Tuli was a rockstar.  She was in the 12-18 month class which she won.  She went Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and . . . wait for it . . . Best of Breed over four Champions to earn her first major.  Of course, we have no more shows within shouting distance until May.  We will head off to our National Specialty at the Purina Events Center in Missouri the first week of May.  It’s a really big sheww — we look forward to seeing all of our friends and dogs we’ve not seen before.  Pam Day and Lacey will be there.  Chase is entered in the CWCCA’s first triathalon.  He will herd, run agility, and compete in conformation.

  2. Allergies and Ultrasounds

    December 5, 2015 by myeye

This morning we again ran an ultrasound over Copper’s tummy — just to be sure.  Unfortunately, she is still not pregnant.  I am so bummed!

Tuli has been suffering with hotspots.  Last week, my vets took skin plugs and sent them off to Spectrum labs to see if our puppy has environmental allergies.  Indeed, Tuli does.  The results are below.  The answer is the compounding of oral drops that will be administered under her tongue for 3 to 5 months.  The Clinic will order the drops on Monday.  In the meantime, I will re-home Tuli’s pet cockroach.

  3. Tuli Made It Through

    July 2, 2015 by myeye

Puppy kindergarten ended with Tuli being promoted to first grade (Beginning Novice).  Many thanks to Maggie Gee who gave our puppies lots to think about.  Pam Day and Lacey and Josh Carrillo with Rev were also in the class, but were not in this photo.

  4. Tuli’s First Show – Photo

    June 23, 2015 by myeye

Here is the show photo from Tuli’s debut on May 30th at Flatirons Kennel Club.  Thank you so much to our friend Kim Raleigh who hauled her up to Colorado and helped her earn her first points.

Tuli was the fourth of the Lowri/Kevin puppies to hit the show ring and like her brother and sisters before her, she earned points at her first show.  Tuli is a happy baby — I love having her with me.

  5. Puppy’s First Show

    June 2, 2015 by myeye

Last weekend our friend Kim Raleigh took Tuli and Salsa to Longmont, Colorado.  It was little Tuli’s first show — she turned 6 months old on May 20th.  The girls had an excellent time with Kim.  For her de-butt, Tuli was Winners Bitch for her first 2 championship points.  Tuli is one of the kids from the Elyan Bluefox N-Song litter (she is “Nothing But Flowers”).  Susan Long, Cheryl Kienast and I bred beautiful Lowri to her son Kevin.  There were 9 scrumptious puppies.  So far, four of them have been shown and each of the four won points on his/her first day out.  We are very proud of Romeo, Sara, Trewe, and, of course, our Tuli.  We had a photo taken to commemorate Tuli’s first points.  I’ll post it when it arrives.  We’re still waiting for the photo of Salsa’s major win in Albuquerque.  Next show may be Flagstaff.

Chase and Ellen herded sheep up in Edgewood this weekend.  Chase is doing so well — tweaking the little things now.  His next herding trial will probably be in early August.

Inca celebrated her 13th birthday.  She is hale and hearty though occasionally has the “old dog vagues.”  This time, it was her solid opinion that the dog door was not working so she had to pee in the kitchen.  As soon as the little girls got home and raced out the dog door, Inca decided it was working again — funny old lady.

The office air-conditioning is not working and, of course, we are hitting 90 degrees each afternoon.  Very miserable inside.
