  2. Happy Birthday to Nola, and Smooch, and Udi, and Rhys

    October 20, 2012 by myeye

Our pretty red girl Nola, her dynamic sister Smoochie, and the brothers Udi and Rhys are two years old today.  So — a little trip down memory lane.

So, what have they done.  Rhys and Udi went to pet homes.  I expected that Rhys would be showing in Obedience by now, but haven’t received any word about that.

Smooch has been a star.  She is Elyan The Evening Echo of C-Myste HT NAP NJP RN BN.  DeAnn Nelson and her husband Rich are giving Smooch a wonderful home with lots of opportunities to excel in every venue.

Nola is Elyan C-Myste The Times Picayune HT.  She needs a 3-point major to complete her Championship and begins Obedience class next week.  She lives here with her Daddy Chase and her Grandma Inca.  I anticipate she will be bred in the Spring.

This litter was Chase’s third.  By the time they were born, Chase was in Tennessee herding with Susan and living with Cheryl.  The puppies were raised by big brother Holmes — how he loved these babies!

  3. The Red Line

    August 21, 2012 by myeye

Chase has produced some very pretty red dogs.  The red is deep and rich with dark nose and eye pigment.  Love the red dogs!  These photos were take by Kevin McCombs.  The dogs are Killian (Chase/Ditto) and Kelli (Chase/Keina).  Reds must stick together!  Other pretty red kids: Owen (Chase/Ditto) and Nola (Chase/Leidy)

    Killian loves his little sister

He even keeps her ears clean for her

  4. More Herding and Show Brags

    January 22, 2012 by myeye

Where to start?  How about with youngest to oldest dog.

Little Riley who will be seven months old on January 24th went to the Rosenburg Texas shows this weekend.  It’s her second time out.  She earned her first two points.  WAY TO GO BABY GIRL!  Riley is a Chase/Ditto daughter.  We’re told that Judge Paul Chen made baby talk and Riley turned into a wagging, kissing puppy.  You know that’s what we loved about Riley, Killian (Tater), Rango, and Torch — as well as their less famous siblings.  Congratulations little Riley.  If you look in  the catalog, you will find her as Snapdragon Something Unspoken.

Out in rainy Portland, the Smooch and DeAnn Nelson had three days of double Qs in Rally Novice B and in Beginner Novice B.  Smooch ended the weekend with two titles.  She is a Chase/Leidy puppy and Naughty Nola’s litter sister.  For the time being, Smooch is Elyan The Evening Echo of C-Myste RN BN.  Go, Smoochie and De!

Meanwhile, oblivious to all the cool stuff being done by his kids, Chase was herding with Susan.  Yesterday a big mama with brand new babies slammed Chase to the ground.  She really did not care for his efforts to make her move.  He said, “Alrighty then.” and rounded up some less volatile sheep and lambs.  Here are some photos from Cheryl taken today.  They were herding in the mud, Susan fell length-wise.  She’s none the worse for wear, but definitely resembles a brindled Tennessee gator.

I figured the baby lamb photos would make you all mushy inside.

  5. Chase Kids

    December 9, 2011 by myeye

Here is a photo of Chase/Scout son Tommy winning his 3rd Major.  Tommy needs only one more point to finish his Championship.  Thanks for sharing the photo, Betty.

. . . and here is Nola at the office this morning.  She was waiting for Ellen to pick her up to take her herding (I am very jealous, but I must write a brief today).  Nola has her 10′ herding line tied to a chair in my office.  It gives her just enough length to  get into the area onto which three offices open.  No one can get by her without a pat and a scritch.
