  2. Ali on Her Way to Best Opposite in Richland

    October 2, 2012 by myeye

Candy Camin took photos at the Richland Specialty.  Here is one of her photos of Chase daughter Ali (CH Wellshire Queen of Hearts) on her way to the Best Opposite Sex Award.  She’s such a striking girl.  Thanks, Candy for the picture — definitely worth a thousand words, but I will refrain.  At the All Breed Shows that followed the Specialty (on Saturday and Sunday), Ali’s litter sister Nikki (GCH Wellshire Absolut Magic) was Best Opposite Sex.

  3. The Weekend and Another Agility Photo

    October 2, 2012 by myeye

Evelyn Vinogradov takes great action photos so I’ll start this post with another of her shots of Chase from the Agility Trial on September 23rd.  She will also be at the trials on November 2, 3, and 4 which are outside.  Hopefully we will have a sunny New Mexico day.  Enjoy this smile:

    Simply put, “WAHOO”!!!

Last weekend was a good one for Chase’s kids.  Lovely Lowri was Best of Breed both days at the Murfreesboro shows.  Baby Dinah earned her first point there on Sunday.  Way out west in Richland WA, Ali (Ch Wellshire Queen of Hearts) was Best of Opposite Sex at the huge Northwest Cardigan Fanciers Specialty under Judge Jon Kimes.  On Saturday and Sunday, her litter sister Nikki (GCh Wellshire Absolut Magic) was Best of Opposite Sex.  Smooch (Elyan The Evening Echo of C-Myste) earned her RA and the first leg of her RE.  I love receiving the reports!

  4. You Go, Girls!

    July 24, 2012 by myeye

Dog people keep track of all sorts of things.  There are magazines that will tell you which dogs were the top Cardigans in Novice Obedience.  There are also magazines that keep track of conformation wins.  We are celebrating Canine Chronicles’ report through June that in terms of other Cardigans defeated, Chase daughters Lowri (GCh Mockingbird Elyan Magic Moment PT) and Nikki (GCH Wellshire Absolut Magic) are numbers 8 and 10 in the United States.  Nikki is 27 months old and Lowri is only 19 months old.  How very cool is that?  Lowri’s mom is GCh Cardiridge Jean Louise Finch HT RN CA ROMb and Nikki’s mother is Wellshire Lady Luck ROMb.

Chase wants to know if that means he gets extra treats.  Probably . . .

  5. Go Deuce!

    May 28, 2012 by myeye

In February 2010, Paula and Eric Weller took a chance on a young stud dog.  They bred their Magic, (Wellshire Lady Luck) to Chase.  It was Magic’s first litter and Chase’s second.  There were five boys and three girls born on April 12, 2010.  It turned out to be quite the litter.  Wellshire Absolut Magic is co-owned by Carolyn Tompkins and Paula.  She was Winners Bitch at the 2011 National Specialty at 1 day over 12 months of age.  “Nikki” finished her Championship, earned her Bronze level Grand Championship, has multiple Group placements, and is currently ranked in the Top 10 Cardigans.  She has been beautifully shown by Angelia Hall.  Litter sister “Darby” (Wellshire Follow The Queen Darby) lives in Phoenix and belongs to David and Gwendy Kem.  She completed both her HT and PT last October.  She will be entering the conformation ring soon.  The elegant “Ali” (Wellshire Queen of Hearts) owned by Eric and Paula, handled by Paula, finished her Championship this past winter.  Today “Deuce” (Wellshire Mr. Majestic) also owned by Eric and Paula, and handled by Paula, earned a 5-point major at Coeur D’Alene to finish his Championship.  These four youngsters combined to earn sufficient progeny/points for their mother’s Bronze Level Register of Merit award.

To say I am proud would be an understatement.  I am so happy for the breeders and the owners of these youngsters.  I am pleased that taking their chances with young Chase paid off splendidly for all of us.
