  1. The Cardigan National Specialty

    There is so much to report — not counting the awful weather at the end of the show.  The capsule:

    Chase – did not qualify in herding nor in agility (BADDOG!).  He won the herding-titled conformation class and was second in the Stud Dog Class with Lowri and Copper

    Copper – earned her HT — looking every bit like a herding dog — and made the final cut in the 12-15 month bitch class

    Flutter – earned 3rd place in a near sweep of the 6-9 puppy girl class (Gimme was 1st, Reserve Winners Bitch, and Best Puppy, as well as Best in Sweepstakes, Flutter was 3rd, and Fable was 4th)

    Salsa made the cut in 6-9 puppy sweeps

    Storybook (fka “Kimber) – earned her HT and was 4th in the 9-12 month puppy bitch class

  2. Faces I Favor

    I stepped out the back door and saw Chase, Flutter and Salsa cuddled up together in the shade.  I stepped back in, grabbed the camera — darn it!  They were up, coming to see what I might have for them.  I resorted to the fall back choice of catching them individually.  Here are Grampa Chase, Flutter, and Salsa.  I love these cute faces.  (Shooting in the New Mexican afternoon sun requires a little lighting adjustment.)

  3. Sunny Saturday in the Yard

    Today at the Agility Trial, we ran small to tall so Chase and I were free to leave before noon.  A romp in the back yard seemed the best way to relax after the stress of running a really wicked Excellent Standard course.  So here are Chase and his girls enjoying the sun.

  4. The Girl Puppies – January 12th

    Sunshine!  When Chase and I returned from herding, we went into the back yard with Salsa (Holmes/Rhiannon) and Flutter (Lowri/Dickens).  Salsa is a month older than Flutter.  Today it was Flutter that made it into the camera’s eye most often.  Salsa was either too fast or was hidden behind her dad.  Enjoy photos of our cute little girls.

  5. Fast Track On a Sunny Day

    It’s winter.  That became official yesterday.  Today New Mexico thumbed its nose at the season — wonderful sun, blue skies, sweatshirt weather.  Chase and his little granddaughters made good use of the back yard.  Enjoy!
